The Twin Cities Model "A" Ford Club (TCMAFC) was started in 1961.  The motto "We Gopher A's" was adopted as Minnesota is the "Gopher" state.  Our yearly club activies are centered around the monthly business meetings, mens and ladies clinic meetings in the months of September through May, summer touring and banquets.  We are a very active club with over 270 family memberships.

The club is affiliated with two national Model A organizations.  The Model A Restorers Club and the Model A Ford Club of America.

The clinic meetings are the focal point of our club activities.  In the summer we hold a dinner / planning session to prepare seminars and assign presenters for the new clinic year.  The clinics include "how to" presentations, guest speakers, a club sponsored yearly research trip to the Benson Ford library at Dearborn, Saturday morning hands-on restoration sessions, and help for members who may need it.

The ladies clinic meets at the same time and has planned activities that include fashions and crafts of the Model "A" era, guest speakers, presentations based on Benson Ford library research and other activities.  Clinic meetings generally have 80 to 90 people in combined attendance each month.

The TCMAFC holds the "Midwest Fall Car Show and Swap Meet" each year in conjunction with the Capital Cities Chapter of the AACA.  It is one of the largest such events in the Twin Cities and is the main source of revenue for our club activities.

We hold a yearly Nomination Banquet, an Election Banquet, and a Spring Fashion Banquet.  On Leap Year, February 29th, we have an "Iron Man Tour".  Regardless of the weather 15 to 30 Model A's brave the elements to participate.  There are also several other driving events such as our pancake breakfast and mystery tour each summer.

In addition, the TCMAFC maintains a book and video lending library, club tools, and award winning newsletter, an internet website and a modest youth program
